The VLXT.FO cameras combine a 10 GigE interface with an SFP+ slot for optical cables. They support optical cables up to a length of 10 kilometers, thus allowing flexible, cost-effective, and easy system configuration. This way, they can be used to capture images at a large distance to the PC-based image processing system and transfer them with a bandwidth of 1.1 GB/s – completely without media converters.
As fiber glass cables are immune to electromagnetic interference, the industrial cameras can also be used directly next to motors or other equipment. The robust optical cables are very flexible when laid with large bending radii, which facilitates integration especially across long distances. Due to their lower power loss, the cameras dissipate less heat and therefore require less cooling.
For stable and reliable image evaluation, you can choose among the latest Sony Pregius CMOS sensors with excellent image quality, a great dynamic range, and low noise. Equipped with powerful functions such as sensor Multi ROI, shading correction, and IEEE 1588, the CMOS cameras allow an increase in the frame rate and relief of the data transmission, the correction of lens and lighting artifacts, as well as precise time synchronization in multi-camera systems. Four opto-decoupled power outputs with pulse width modulation and an output performance of up to 120 W (max. 48 V / 2.5 A) allow the direct cost-efficient control of illumination without an external controller. For applications with varying work distances, the liquid lens support enables the direct control of liquid autofocus lenses.
